Perry Magdalene is a multidisciplinary artist residing in Brooklyn, NY whose work focuses on the realization of peoples’ highest selves. Their primary focus is on clothing and fashion, as media to support others in expressing themselves in their most veracious ways. Across all media, Perry’s work emphasizes poise, confidence, depth, and authenticity.
Perry grew up in the DC metro area, having spent several years afterwards in North Carolina. They received formal education in political science, international relations, and gender studies. Since 2018, they have called NY their home and aim to find new ways to return to the city what it has gifted them.
Both within and beyond clothing, Perry finds their greatest joys in connecting others and building strong foundational networks. They are an ordained minister in NY state and find abundant joy in performing weddings. They have been walked in local fashion shows as both model and designer. Their work has been featured in various gallery shows across NYC. They enjoy hosting local workshops to share skills and generally flock to new opportunities to expand as an artist and creator.
As a multidisciplinary, multi-trained professional, they look for opportunities to teach, research, write, model, create, and connect, among other things. Through all things, Perry aims to strike balance between whimsy and discipline.
